Project Overview: This pioneering initiative aims to bridge the visibility gap for researchers in Northern India by promoting the adoption of ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) identifiers. The project focuses on integrating ORCID into institutional workflows, organizing capacity-building workshops, and creating a sustainable ecosystem for unique author identification across universities and research institutions in the Northern region of India.
Key Objectives:
  • Increase ORCID adoption among researchers in Northern Indian academic institutions
  • Integrate ORCID with institutional research information systems
  • Conduct training programs and awareness campaigns for faculty and research scholars
  • Establish a regional support network (Help Desk) for persistent identifiers
